This is for sure the absolute best combination to explore the Peninsula Samana. We are the pioneers combining what should be combined: The National Park "Los Haitises" AND the Peninsula Samana with its main attraction the Waterfall "Salto Limon"
There are 2 ways you can visit the Peninsula Samana from Punta Cana
a) by Airplane
b) by bus
The Flight Tour will show you "Salto Limon" and the island Cayo Levantado and bus tours from other companies show you either Los Haitises without Samana or the same combination as the Flight Tour (Salto Limon & Cayo Levantado)
The point here is: Cayo Levantado is a beautiful small Island but the National Park Los Haitises is a much bigger attraction
Our tour is very complete, but be aware - it starts very early and finishes late - we are talking about a looong day with lots of impressions, breathtaking views and interesting and very typical things to see
Itinerary:
05:30–05:45 am pick up at your hotel
06:00 am bus ride to Sabana de la Mar (aprox 2 hours 45 min to 3 hours)
07:15 am typical breakfast snack at the roadside close to Miches
09:00 am arrival at the Pier of Sabana de la Mar
09:15 am boat ride with the public ferry from Sabana de La Mar to Samana crossing the bay of Samana
10:30 am arrival at the pier of Samana
10:45 am transfer to our ranch
11:15 am arrival at the ranch
11:30 am horseback ride to the waterfall "Salto Limon"
12:15 pm arrival at "Salto Limon" - approx. 30 min time at the waterfall
12:45 pm horseback ride back to the ranch
01:30 pm arrival at the ranch - typical Dominican lunch (buffet)
02:15 pm we drive via a mountain road "El Majagual" to the Pier "Las Garitas" west of Samana
03:00 pm arrival at the pier
03:15 pm motor boat ride to the national park "Los Haitises", visit of a cave, the "Bird Island", the "Bay of San Lorenzo" and then we go through the mangroves to "Caño Hondo"
04:30 pm arrival at "Cano Hondo"
04:45 pm bus ride back to your hotel via Sabana de la Mar and Miches
