This is for sure the absolute best combination to explore Samana. We are the pioneers combining what should be combined: The National Park "Los Haitises" AND the Peninsula Samana with its main attraction the Waterfall "Salto Limon"
There are 2 ways you can visit the Peninsula Samana from Punta Cana
a) by airplane
b) by bus
The Flight Tour will show you "Salto Limon" and the island Cayo Levantado and other bus tours show you either Los Haitises without Samana or the same combination as the Flight Tour (Salto Limon & Cayo Levantado)
The point here is: Cayo Levantado is a beautiful Island but Los Haitises is a much bigger attraction
This tour is spectacular - you won't get nearly the impressions you get here at any other tour, but be aware - it is not only called "Expedition" - it IS an Expedition
Be prepared for a lot of driving but it is very scenic and we are going different ways to go and to come back (to go we go via Higuey, El Seibo, Hato Mayor and on our way back we go via San Pedro de Macoris - and then the highway.

06:00 am Bus ride to Sabana de la Mar (aprox 2 hours 45 min to 3 hours)
07:45 am typical bus station breakfast snack at the roadside close to Hato Mayor
09:30 am Arrival at Caño Hondo
09:45 am Motor boat ride through the Mangroves to the National Park Los Haitises, visit of a Cave, Bird Island, Bay of San Lorenzo
10:45 am We cross the bay of Samana towards the Peninsula
11:15 am Arrival at "Las Garitas" at the Peninsula
11:15 am We drive via a mountain road "El Majagual" to our ranch
12:00 pm Arrival at the ranch
12:15 pm Horse ride to the waterfall "Salto Limon"
01:00 pm Arrival at "Salto Limon" approx. 30 min time at the waterfall)
01:30 pm Horse ride back to the ranch
02:15 pm Arrival at the ranch - typical Dominican lunch (buffet)
