Your day will start with a typical Dominican Passion Fruit Mimosa at the famous Macao beach. We continue on to meet the kids at one of the various schools that Outback Adventures sponsors so you get to see how you give back to the local communities just by being on the tour!
In this unique tour, you’ll be invited into a country home owned by a family that has been in the area for centuries! Once you’ve had a glimpse of Dominican country living, you’ll get to walk through their coffee and cacao plantations and even get a chance to buy the organic goods that are produced on-site.
Our delicious lunch, which comes with a side-dish of spectacular views, will definitely be a huge highlight, all served at a mountain ranch you’ll never forget!
Your day ends at a beautiful river-side ranch where you’ll have the chance to learn all about Coconuts! We’ll show you anything and everything that can be made from a coconut; from the shell to the nut, every bit is an asset and you’ll get to test the purest coconut oil available anywhere. End your day either swaying in a hammock with a Coco Loco in your hand or end taking a dip in the refreshing river oasis onsite.
ITINERARY (Depending on traffic & rain, visits and hours could vary):
Pick up 8:00 am- 9:00 am
9:30 am Visit the incredible Macao beach and try our very own Passion
fruit Mimosa
10:00am Visit a classroom in a local School.
10:40 am Visit an authentic Dominican home, see how local people live.
10:50 am Walk through the coffee and cocoa plantations and learn
about how organic cocoa and coffee are grown and processed.
11:15 am Chance to buy organic goods produced onsite
11:30 am Arrival to Ranch including tour of the animals (crocodiles,
iguanas, alligators, flamingos and more!) and gardens (orchids and local
fruit trees and plants)
12:15pm Lunch
1:30pm Departure from the ranch
2;00pm Visit a riverside ranch and learn all about Coconuts
2:15pm Walk down a nature path which leads to a natural river stream
2:30pm Your guide will put on some Caribbean music, hang a few hammocks for your comfort, and open the bar for those of you who want to relax and enjoy the true dreamlike state of island life.
Return to the hotels around 4:00 pm / 4:30 pm
